The Urban League of Essex County’s PACE Program (Pre-Apprenticeship in Career Education) provides career education in construction trades.
The ULEC has partnered with NextWave, Essex County College, NCOR and NCRC to provide a pre-apprenticeship program that focuses on carpentry and electrical. Our hybrid of on-site, virtual, and classroom instruction includes Construction Safety, Supported Scaffold, Fall Prevention, Confined Spaces, Flagger, and more….will help you prepare a transition into a Registered Apprenticeship with the local Unions.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
18 years or older
Eligible to work in the U.S.
HS Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Limited seats are available. A pre-enrollment entrance exam and evaluation process will follow. This program comes with a weekly stipend.
