Position/Title: 3D Printing Instructor

Location: 152 Littleton Avenue, Newark, NJ
Hours: Saturdays from 930am - 4pm
Salary: $30 per hour
Reports To: Tech House Director

Basic Functions:

Design and develop curriculum for 3D printing courses, ensuring a structured, and progressive learning experience. Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancement to update and enhance course content.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engaging and informative 3D printing classes for diverse groups of learners, adapting teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises to reinforce theoretical concepts.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of 3D printing technologies, including hardware, software, materials, and post-processing techniques.
  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of 3D printers and related equipment used in instructional settings.
  • Instruct students on proper usage, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Evaluate student performance through assessments, projects, and practical exams.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their 3D printing skills

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with 3D printing technologies and processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teaching or training experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g. Autodesk Fusion 360, TinkerCAD, and Blender) is a plus.
  • Certifications in 3D printing or education are beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to act effectively as a member of a team.
  • Experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and life experiences.
