The Urban League of Essex County Young Professionals (ULECYP) are members of The League between the ages of 21–40 that make up an important and valued volunteer auxiliary.
Our mission is to dedicate some of our time, talent, and philanthropy to serve and impact the Urban League of Essex County while empowering our communities and changing lives through the Urban League Movement.
When you join ULECYP, you join a national network that encompasses the entire National Urban League movement which includes over 60+ sister Young Professional chapters throughout the country, access to outstanding leadership, civic training, and social capital. Our members represent the next generation of civic leaders, engaged citizens, entrepreneurs and thought-leaders in Essex County and beyond.
We use our skills to create innovative programming focused on economic development, youth mentorship, homeownership, and wellness while leading advocacy projects that help our neighbors stay informed about issues that directly impact their lives. While we are putting our current skills to use making a positive difference in our neighborhoods, I believe that we have a responsibility to fulfill our professional goals, make friends and have fun while doing it.

Joining the Urban League of Essex County Young Professionals, the "YP's", is a great way to expand your network, stretch your leadership skills, build social capital, and get involved in your community.
Our organization is dedicated to advancing the mission of The League while enhancing civic and career opportunities for our members. To realize these goals, we embrace some common ideals:
